Hello ladies!

Today i am going to talk about menstrual problems. Every month we go through pain, cramps, fatigue, mood swings and what not. We all dread periods due to painful cramps. At times i have this thought that why God is punishing me for not being pregnant? I know we all feel like this. But we can’t help it. We ladies handle so much. We have those bad days also when we get up in the morning with painful cramps and we have urgent morning meeting to attend which we can’t miss. All mighty give us a magic wand which can do away with all the pain and mood swings.

I have seen lot of my friends taking medicines during their periods which is not good. I avoid taking medicine until i am in dire need of it.

Luckily, there are ample home remedies which can help us during menstrual pain.

Remedy #1: Kadha: Add Carom seeds (ajwain), 4 – 5 clove (laung), small piece of cinnamon (dalchini), black pepper (kali mirch), ginger, Cardamom (elaichi), Basil (tulsi) to a glass of water. Boil the water and reduce it to half. Add jaggery and drink it hot.

Remedy #2: Take a tablespoon of ginger juice and mix half tsp honey. Drink this with hot water.

Remedy #3: Boil some mint leaves in water or tea and have twice or thrice a day.

Remedy #4: Boil a tsp of cinnamon powder in 2 glasses of water. Reduce it to one glass and let it cool. Add honey when the water is lukewarm and have it. Never add honey when the water is hot as the heat will destroy the nutrient value.

Remedy #5: Take some parsley leaves and make a juice out of it. Drink this juice during your periods. It not only helps to get rid of menstrual cramps but also cures irregular periods.

Remedy #6: Mix coco powder and cinnamon powder in cup of warm water and drink it.

Remedy #7: Exercise is the way for healthy living. A brisk walk or yoga done on daily basis can prevent menstrual cramps.

Remedy #8: Take ½ cup water in a vessel, put ¼ cup jaggery in it and heat them till it starts boiling. Meanwhile melt 1½ tsp ghee in a frying pan and add 1 clove, ¼ tsp ajwain, ½ tsp dried ginger powder and pinch of turmeric powder. Heat till ajwain start crackling and then add 1 tsp whole wheat flour. Stir it continuously till the colour changes to golden grown. Add the above mixture of water and jaggery to the wheat flour. Heat the mixture till it starts boiling and serve hot.

Remedy #9: Use heating pad or hot bottle on your stomach. It really helps to relive pain instantly.

Remedy #10: Eat dark chocolate or white chocolate or any chocolate you like. Chocolate creates a nervous condition that actually accentuates pain and discomfort.

The above listed are the most effective remedies that can help you sail the menstrual pain. However, if the pain is acute or you have never experienced before, do consult your doctor.
